Cher Hermann,

j’ai téléphoné à Mursia, comme je t’avais promis. M. Tozzi m’a dit que le jugement des lecteurs sur ton livre a été très favorable; toutefois ils ne sont pas en condition de décider sur la publication parce que l’option de Mursia n’est que la 2me: la première en ordre de temps a été demandée par l’éditeur Feltrinelli, et n’est pas encore écoulée.

En cas de publication, ils m’ont dit qu’il faudrait raccourcir un peu l’ouvrage: qu’en penses-tu?

Ho telefonato a Mursia, come ti avevo promesso. Il signor Tozzi mi ha detto che il giudizio dei lettori sul tuo libro è stato molto favorevole; tuttavia non sono in grado di decidere sulla pubblicazione, perché l’opzione di Mursia è solo la seconda: la prima in ordine di tempo è stata chiesta dall’editore Feltrinelli e non è ancora scaduta.

In caso di pubblicazione, mi hanno detto che farebbero ridurre un tantino l’opera: che cosa ne pensi?

Mr. Tozzi told me that the readers’ opinion of your book was very favorable; however, they are not able to decide on publication because Mursia’s option is only the 2nd: the first in chronological order was requested by the publisher Feltrinelli, and has not elapsed yet.

If they do publish it, they told me that the book would need to be cut a bit: what do you think?
