Nun steht schon fest, wie lange ich in Milano bleiben kann: Ich komme dort am Dienstag, den 19. 12. um 15:35 (mit dem Flugzeug von Zürich) an und fliege am Donnerstag, den 21. 12. voraussichtlich um 17:45 ab. Ich brauche nicht zu betonen, wie es mich freuen würde, Sie sprechen zu können. Ich werde bei Giangiacomo Feltrinelli(Via Andegari 6) erreichbar sein.[1]
Meine Buchbesprechung ist noch nicht gedruckt, weil jetzt von Weihnachten viele solche Besprechungen bei den Redaktionen lagern. So bald sie erschienen ist, bekommen Sie selbstverständlich ein Belegexemplar.
Das Auschwitz-Buch wird voraussichtlich im April – Mai 62 erscheinen. Durch die Manöver aus Warschau[2] ist eine gewisse Verzögerung erfolgt. Es erscheint aber immer noch rechtzeitig vor dem Auschwitz-Prozess in Frankfurt, der frühestens im Herbst 62 beginnt.[3]

La ringrazio molto per la Sua lettera del 7 dicembre.
Finalmente è stabilito quanto tempo potrò fermarmi a Milano: arriverò martedì 19/12 alle 15.35 (in aereo da Zurigo) e ripartirò giovedì 21/12, probabilmente alle 17.45. Non ho bisogno di ripeterLe quanto mi farebbe piacere poter parlare con Lei. Sarò raggiungibile presso Giangiacomo Feltrinelli (Via Andegari 6).[1]
La mia recensione del libro non è ancora uscita perché sotto Natale molti articoli restano in coda sui tavoli delle redazioni. Ma non appena sarà pubblicata, ne riceverà una copia.
Il libro su Auschwitz dovrebbe uscire fra aprile e maggio del ’62. Le manovre di Varsavia hanno causato un po’ di ritardo.[2] Comunque sia, arriverà in tempo per il processo Auschwitz di Francoforte, che si aprirà non prima dell’autunno del ’62.[3]

I now know how long I will be able to stay in Milan: I arrive Tuesday, December 19, at 15:35 (by plane from Zürich) and fly back on Thursday, December 21, likely at 17:45. I need not reiterate what a pleasure it would be to be able to speak with you. I will be reachable at Giangiacomo Feltrinelli (Via Andegari 6).[1]
My book review has not been printed yet, because many such reviews tend to pile up in the editorial offices leading up to Christmas. Of course, as soon as it is out, you will receive a copy.
The Auschwitz book is now expected for release in April/May 62. The antics coming from Warsaw[2] managed to delay things a bit. But it will still come out before the Frankfurt Auschwitz Trial, which will begin in autumn 62 at the earliest.[3]
