Caro amigo,

per me è un dispiacere enorme apprendere che non potrà venire alla nostra manifestazione del 25 gennaio a Bruxelles. Nel caso in cui invece dovesse farcela, una sedia riservata a Lei nel comitato che la presiede ci sarà sempre. Sa quanto ci teniamo.

La ringrazio per aver dato la Sua adesione. Le allego l’appello[1] e le chiedo di autorizzarne la diffusione, anche con la Sua firma, presso l’opinione pubblica di Bruxelles.

Conosce altre persone tra i “compagni di Auschwitz” nel Suo Paese che, come Lei, sono noti oltreconfine? In tal caso, posso chiederLe se riesce in breve tempo a far firmare anche a loro questo appello?

Do you know of any other fellow “Auschwitzers” in your country who, like you, are known internationally? If so, may I ask you on short notice to have them sign this appeal as well?

Es tut mir ausserordentlich leid, dass Sie nicht zu unserer Kundgebung am 25. 1. nach Bruxelles kommen können. Falls es Ihnen doch noch möglich werden sollte – im Präsidium dieser Kundgebung ist ein Stuhl stets für Sie reserviert. Wie sehr wir darauf Wert legen würden, wissen Sie.

Ich danke Ihnen für Ihre Zustimmung in der Sache. Beiliegend der Appell[1] mit der Bitte uns zu gestatten, dass er auch mit Ihrer Unterschrift versehen, in Bruxelles der Öffentlichkeit übergeben werden kann.

Sind in Ihrem Land Ihnen noch andere „Auschwitzer“ bekannt, die über die Grenzen hinaus so wie Sie einen Namen haben? Wenn ja, darf ich Sie auf kurzem Wege bitten, auch deren Unterschrift zu diesem Appell einzuholen?
